The Eryngium maritimum (called Calcatreppola) is a perennial herbaceus plant, with the stems high 20-60 cm. Is a pioner kind of dune’s plant that thank his apparatus radical to stabilize the sand and to make easier his development. So walking on the dunes we destabilize the sand, uncover his roots and the Calcatreppola dies.
